Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

If a brother or sister is poorl y clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warm and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with your firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filed with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
